Why I Created 'NewCha' – The Beginning of Character AI Chat

As a child, my parents both worked.
Around the age of five, I would lie alone in the quiet living room, lost in my own imaginary world while watching cartoons.
I would imitate the sound effects from the TV, becoming the protagonist and creating my own stories.
During that time, I naturally enjoyed the experience of becoming the main character in a story.
And now, looking back, I realize that was my first experience with immersive storytelling.

As time went on, we started using various AI chat services.
Some of them offer AI role-playing functions, helping users realize their imagination.
However, I soon felt its limitations.

While it was certainly a fun and creative attempt,
the fact that the user had to constantly lead the conversation,
and the unnatural progression of scene settings hindered immersion.
What I wanted was a natural and high-quality AI conversation based on a scenario.
Not just wordplay, but a conversation that becomes a real ‘story’.

And I thought.
Just like the world I dreamed of as a child,
what if I could create a conversational storytelling platform where anyone could freely immerse themselves?

This is how ‘Nuca’ began.

What is Nuca?

Nuca is a scenario-based AI role-playing service that provides an immersive conversational experience beyond the simple AI chat functions.

In particular, we minimized the shortcomings of existing AI chat services, such as “
Reading burden” and “Unnatural conversation flow”.

AI leads the story, and users can freely interact within it,
creating their own stories.

It's still lacking, but my ambition is clear.

Nuca is a startup that has just started.
It may not be perfect, but I believe it has unlimited potential.

I don't want to make this service a simple chat tool.
A space where anyone can easily immerse themselves in the world of imagination and continue their own stories,
uncensored freedom of imagination, high scenario completeness, and emotionally engaging conversations.
That's the Nuca I envision.

There are still many shortcomings.
But even with trial and error, I believe this direction is right.
And step by step, I intend to share the story I really wanted to create with the world.

Nuca is still evolving.
And in the future, I want it to become a platform that turns the ‘imagination’ of more people into reality.
